Sonija Kwok Talks Openly Of Her Feelings; Deric Wan Refuses To Respond
Since two years ago, when her love with Deric Wan was publicized, the public has not seen any good in their relationship. There have been constant reports of them splitting up. Sonija has long been numb to all of these negative news. "These news are reported everyday. I can't care that much. There's not much reaction anymore." Two weeks ago, in her phone interview with Malaysia's Yut Yeung media, she mentioned that she was unsure why these rumours exist.
Sonija met Deric Wan two years ago, in the series [The Legend of Love]. Their love continued from the within the drama to real life. Deric Wan played the role of "Ox Man", and Sonija Kwok played the role of the poor "Weaving Girl" who suffered for her love. When inquired whether in real life she would give so much for love, she gracefully shifted the subject, "I may have a cold appearance, but after you become acquainted to me, you'll know that I'm not like what I seem to be."
Sweet Honey Reveals That Love Is Stable
She revealed in a sweet way that her relationship with Deric Wan was stable. Presently, both of them are focused on their careers so they do not have any marriage plans. When asked what she admires about her boyfriend, she answered with embarrassment, "He has always been good. (What does she admire in him the most?) I think..... it's his open-mindedness." Later she politely said that she does not wish to speak about her love matters. "I do not wish to talk too much on my love matters. I hope to preserve the fine details for myself."
When asked of her comments regarding her and her boyfriend's set love drama, [The Legend of Love], not been broadcasted in Hong Kong yet, Sonija's said, "I have no comments. I know that this series has been broadcasted overseas. It is being broadcasted in Nanjing (city of China) right now. The ratings are not bad. Actually all I can do is to act the best I can. Ratings are not in my scope of control."
Deric Wan's Excessive Attitude
In contrast to his girlfriend's openness, Deric Wan's way of handling of love appears to be more concealed. He even shows it in the tone of his voice. When the reporters asked how his relationship was with Sonija Kwok, he managed with difficulty to answer, "Extremely good." Then the reporters further extended the question to ask whether "good" implied good friendship or good girlfriend boyfriend relationship?
At this time, he unexpectedly asked in English, "ARE YOU A POLICE? IS THIS AN INTERVIEW?" The reporter was surprised by his sudden bluntness and asked what he meant. He continued to speak coldly in English, "YOU ARE NOT POLICE. IS THAT ANSWER YOUR QUESTION? IS THE ANSWER ACCEPTABLE?"
Hearing his bluntness, the reporter decided to dig up some of the things his girlfriend, Sonija Kwok said, hoping that he will continue to discuss the matters. Who would have known that when he heard the reporter shifting the subject to Sonija Kwok, mentioning that [The Legend of Love] was something both of them would remember, that he would loudly respond, "SURE!" indicating agreement.
With regards to [The Legend of Love] not being broadcasted in Hong Kong, his answer was the same as his girlfriend's. The only difference was the negetive tone in his voice, "THIS IS NOT MY BUSINESS. I'm only responsible for acting my part and nothing more." When asked of his opinion on Hong Kong's news media's repeated negative reports of him, he bluntly replied, "I have no interest in this matter." This immediately ended the subject, leaving the reporter with a dumb look.
