Subject: Deric Wan Visits Burial Figures of Warriors and Horses: It Is Great To Be Chinese
On the night of April 24th, one of the theatres in Xi'an (the capital city of Shaanxi Province) invited Hong Kong's artist, Deric Wan for a mini concert. This was Deric's first performance in Xi'an city as an artist. That night, Deric had some brief interviews with the media before the performance.
Deric informed the media that this was his first appearance in Xi'an city as an artist. He had accompanied his father to Xi'an city in the past to visit the burial figures of warriors and horses. When asked how he felt at the burials, Deric replied, "I felt a kind of strength amongst all the foreign tourists that were visiting the burials. A feeling that it is great to be Chinese." Deric Wan seem quite separated from the entertainment circle in comparison to his former hot years. Deric responded, "In fact I've been very busy these last couple of years shooting in various parts of the country. I'm a low profile person so I don't publicize myself. This may give audience the appearance that I'm shying away from the entertainment world." Siu Cheun
