Deric Wan, Sammul Chan, Tavia Yeung and Mandy Cheung were promoting TVB's new year's TV drama [The Viligante of the Mask] yesterday. Deric Wan and Sammul Chan, who others have said look similar to each other, were photographed together yesterday. Deric Wan was asked whether the two of them looked alike. He replied that they did in some ways, but since Sammul is much younger than him, it's hard to compare.
Deric Wan also revealed that recently he's been working between Hong Kong and Taiwan. After yesterday's serial promotion, he immediately returned to Taiwan for the local drama [Daughter 100%] celebration. He said that the drama will be release soon. One of the TV station plans to release his 5 year old drama with Cecilia Yip. He laughed and said they'll be showing his dramas in both Hong Kong and Taiwan. There won't be a place where he won't appear.

Recently, there have been news of Deric Wan and Sonija Kwok breaking up. Sonija promptly clarified the situation. As for Deric Wan filming in the interior, he denied any love changes. Deric Wan expressed during his interview in the interior, that his love with girlfriend Sonijia Kwok is very steady. His love relationship is between two people, others should not interfere.
Denied Any Financial Difficulties
Deric Wan expressed having been in the entertainment circle for 20 years, he has gained a lot of experience. At present, he only desires his job and love life. He likes to write love letters to his girlfriend because Sonija Kwok is romantic. He says that Sonija Kwok is the second happiest person in the world and he is the first.
Regarding reports of him having financial problems, Deric Wan argued that all outside reports are not based on anything. He laughed that it is true that he doesn't have any money in his pocket because he is at work 90% of the time. He doesn't have time to spend money so he there is no reason to have money in his pocket.

Deric Wan (second from right) accepted an interview with New City yesterday, regarding [The Viligante of the Mask] average rating of only 23 points (taken from an audience of 1,510,000). He said, "In my 20 years of acting in TV serials, the ratings have been around the same. It doesn't matter. The most important thing is having a serious script. I won't worry about it too much."

Deric Wan, Sammul Chan and Eddie Kwan appeared in New City's gathering. Deric Wan and Sammul Chan acted as leading roles in [The Viligante of the Mask] which had an average rating of 23 points, with the highest at only 28 points. Deric Wan hopes that everyone not be too sensitive. TVB's serials average ratings are approximately the same. He doesn't think that [The Viligante of the Mask] script is really bad. He believes the important thing is for the actor/actress to do the best he/she can in his/her part. Ratings are not controllable. As for Sammul Chan, he thinks the reason for the lack of rating is because a lot of the people have only come out for a year.
Deric Wan was asked if he had gone to Sonija Kwok's home to pay the New Year call. He said that he gave Sonija Kwok's mother a box of cookies. He revealed that he believes in Jesus and that he will be baptized this year. Asked why he didn't pay a visit to Yammie Nam, he replied, "I'm not very familiar with her."
